Ingredients
- Beef Mince – 1.5kg
- Cooking Onions – 100g
- Garlic Purée – 6g
- Red Kidney Beans (in water) – 800g
- Italian Tomato Paste – 200g
- Chopped Tomatoes – 800g (in tomato juice)
- Sunflower Oil – 15ml
- Mild Chilli Powder – 40g
- Red Peppers – 2ea
Steps To Bake
Step 1 – In a large pan heat vegetable oil on medium heat then add finely chopped onion and red pepper cook until soft
Step 2 – Add garlic purée and cook for a further 1 minute
Step 3 – Add mince and cook meat for approx. 4-5 minutes before
adding tomato purée and cooking for a further 2 minutes
Step 4 – Add chopped tomato & chili powder, turn the heat down and
cook on a low heat until chilli thickens
Step 5 – Add drained red kidney beans to chili and heat through until
piping hot
Step 6 – Check the seasoning before serving with rice or a jacket potato
